Yesterday, the captain that was captured by pirates was freed. The reason I am writing about this post is becasue it made me think about all of the people involved in this. Especially, the PR spokesperson. Not only does the PR person have to keep everyone updated on what is happening, but they also are probably very into the situation as well and are wondering what will happen next. It made me realize how hard of a job PR can be, especially in situations like this. They didn’t know if they were going to have to give the man’s family bad news, or the country bad news, and they would have to see everyone’s heartbreak. Luckily, the captain was freed and they got to send out wonderful information. There are many different fields of PR and this story just made me wonder and think about all of the different jobs that a PR professional could potentially do.
